couldn't have been a better weekend for July 4th. The weather was perfect. We hosted Dan and Jen til Friday morning and then they left on their cross counrty trip. Haven't heard from them since so I hope all is going well with them spending so much time together. Great test for a relationship is being locked in a car for a cross country ride. I've been married almost 20 years and know better then to try it.
on Saturday of the weekend Jon and I played a round of golf at the club with a couple of my friends. Jon held his own with us big hitters. I think he actually beat me on the last few holes. He rode with my cousin and I with Mr hale. I wanted Jon to get more comfortable around adults and after all I play with him all the time he was sick of listening to me.
on Monday we went tot he Rooney compound located just north of any civilization as we know it. They have a cabin on a fantastic fresh water lake . I have posted the pics from our day there. The company was pleasant and the conversations were , umm lets say, spirited.
next time i post it will be of the cruise we take next week. all are looking forward to it but deb. She fears rough water due to local hurricanes. we'll see!!
